Advertising Energy was born in 1994, created by two young entrepreneurs with a great passion for delivering advertising on time and on budget. By 1999, the agency had grown substantially, which was recognised by Deloitte, winning the accolade of ‘Fastest Growing’ privately-owned business in Australia (based on previous 5 years).

In 2000, Advertising Energy launched Ad Control, the first ad-building and ad-booking online system to go to market in the employment space. Today through constant innovation, Ad Control is considered a market leader globally.

By 2003 with continued strong growth, Advertising Energy diversified into creative and strategic offerings responding to market conditions, while also broadening its expertise into the automotive, pharmaceutical and property sectors.

In 2007, current owners Kath and Craig McConnell took over the business bringing new energy, drive and vision to the table.

In 2009, Advertising Energy won the Fairfax Employment Marketing Award for ‘Best Employer Brand’ for GM Holden.

Currently, owner and Managing Director, Craig McConnell is undertaking PhD studies at Macquarie University. Working with the Marketing Faculty, Craig is investigating the synergistic relationships between Corporate, Consumer and Employer Brands. He is the first and only principal undertaking this level of studies in the employment marketing sector.
